Cystometrogram and Urodynamic Studies

These are tests that are designed to evaluate the bladder. A small catheter or tube is placed in the bladder, and a computer measures how well the bladder is working. This can give us valuable information on leaking of urine, overactive bladder, bladder strength, bladder size, blockage from a prostate and more. There are no special preparations required, and there are no restrictions after the tests. Some people may experience a slight burning upon urination or blood in the urine for a day or so afterwards.
