Affiliates in Urology is privileged to be amongst the first groups in Michigan to use the new Da Vinci-S Robotic system at Oakwood Hospital for performing radical prostatectomies to treat prostate cancer. The Da Vinci-S-system is a significant improvement over the older Da Vinci robot due to the additional robotic arm, smaller equipment and updated software. For more information, click here. Microscopic vasectomy reversals are now available in our office. Affiliates in Urology has obtained the high-powered microscopes needed for this delicate procedure. We perform the procedure in our office with full anesthesia services available, substantially improving the convenience and lowering the cost to patients. Click here for more information. The new Laserscope High Powered 120 watt KTP Green Light Laser is available in our office. This device is significantly faster and more powerful than the previous 80 watt laser and will improve recovery and results from surgery, particularly in men with very large prostate glands. Our urologists are highly experienced with surgical and non-surgical treatments for urologic disorders, including lithotripsy, ESWL, sling procedures, cystoscopy, vasectomy, circumcision, laser therapy (KTP Laser and Holmium Laser), TUMT, laser ablation, and transvaginal tape. When warranted, drug therapies are also utilized, such as Viagra for erectile dysfunction (ED).

Some of the conditions we commonly diagnose and treat include:

• Enlarged prostate (also called BPH or benign prostatic hyperplasia)
• Urinary incontinence
• Urologic cancer (prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, and testicular cancer)
• Prostatitis or prostate infection
• Urinary tract infection (UTI)
• Impotence
• Kidney stones
• Renal calculi
• Infertility, including vasectomy reversal
• Bloody urine (hematuria)
• Most other urologic disorders and diseases
